Over the last year, BriteCore has grown rapidly.
As part of our expansion, we have recently opened a new office in Kosovo. Working remotely is nothing new to BriteCore employees who live in numerous places around the globe, but our Kosovo location represents our first dedicated office space outside the United States.
Located in the capital city of Prishtina—also known as Pristina, Priština, or Prishtinë— BriteCore's new office opened on April 1, 2018. The facility is staffed by four Product Development team members, all of whom live in Prishtina: Lead Software Engineer Kujtim Hoxha, Software Engineer Agon Gjonbalaj, Software Engineer Shend Çarkaxhiu, and Software Engineer Intern Albert Hoxha. Together, they are building our new claims module, BriteClaims, a microservices component of our ever-evolving BriteCore software insurance platform.
While BriteCore has a successful remote work program, Kujtim explains that the new office provides some distinct advantages:
One of the best benefits that BriteCore gives to the engineers is the possibility to work remotely, and we work remotely when we want to. The office gives us a great opportunity to have more in-depth discussions for our implementation issues. It is much better to have the team in person for a project like BriteClaims that is just starting to get built from the ground up.
The Kosovo location consists of a main room where the team works together, a room for relaxing or taking some personal time, and a kitchen. Kujtim also appreciates other characteristics of the office: "It has a lot of sunlight, it has one of the best locations in the city, it is a two-minute walk from the center boulevard in the center of the city, and it has a great view over Prishtina."
The space provides the right atmosphere for the team to meet, collaborate, and churn out ideas as they create a cutting-edge claims module. Their approach and new office reflect BriteCore's ongoing commitment to reinvent and expand the platform and to keep it positioned as the best modern, forward-thinking solution for insurers.
